Beginner Weekend Masterclass (12 Hours Total)
Schedule: Day 1 & Day 2 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
DAY 1: Fundamentals, Modifiers & 1-Light Control
Morning Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
09:00 - 10:00: Camera Settings & Studio Light Control
The role of Aperture and ISO in studio exposure
Why shutter speed isn't in control of flash exposure (understanding sync speeds and ambient light cut-off)
Working with ambient room light vs. modeling lights: Do you need to keep studio lights on when shooting strobes?
10:00 - 11:00: Studio Gear & Strobe Fundamentals
Studio strobes, flash power levels, triggers, channels, and groups
Manual flash control and dial-in adjustments
11:00 - 12:00: Light Quality & Modifiers
Hard vs. soft light, modifier selection (softboxes, beauty dishes, umbrellas), and the Inverse Square Law simplified
Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Afternoon Session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
01:00 - 02:00: Instructor Live Demo
Key lighting patterns (Rembrandt, Loop, Butterfly, and controlling shadows with V-flats and reflectors)
02:00 - 04:00: Student Hands-On Shoot
Guided 1-on-1 shooting session with live model practicing 1-light setups
DAY 2: Multi-Light Ratios, Posing & Digital Workflow
Morning Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
09:00 - 10:00: Model Direction & Posing
Angles, expressions, and directing non-models effectively on set
10:00 - 11:00: Instructor Live Demo: 2-Light Setups
Key + Rim/Kicker, Key + Hair, and Key + Background falloff
11:00 - 12:00: Student Practical Challenge: Independent Light Setup
Students independently build, mount, and adjust a complete multi-light setup to test gear assembly and spatial awareness
Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
Afternoon Session (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
01:00 - 03:00: Student Hands-On Shoot
Executing 2-light setups with live model direction and instructor coaching
03:00 - 04:00: Digital Workflow & Retouching
Lightroom culling, RAW processing, basic skin retouching, and final file delivery
